The vehicle body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is high loads on the chassis, body flex and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace connects the mounting points at the top of the front dampers and helps increase body stiffness.
