The car body is subjected to significant loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in greater bending and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis bending and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace connects the mounting points of the upper mounts and helps increase the rigidity of the front section of the body.
The brace is designed for the Honda CR-V IV (RM1/3/4), model years 2011–2018, with 2.0 and 2.4 engines and 2WD or 4WD.
- Design: front upper strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Honda CR V IV (RM/RE).
