The vehicle body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
