During fast driving, a car’s bodywork is subjected to significant loads, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the bodywork to bend and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis bending and twisting can negatively affect the vehicle’s handling and cause understeer or oversteer. The front upper strut brace connects the upper suspension mounting points and contributes to increased rigidity of the front section of the bodywork.
