The vehicle body is the part of the vehicle most exposed to loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing strut brace increases the stiffness of the front section of the body and helps limit its twisting.
