The vehicle’s chassis is the part subjected to the most stress while driving, particularly due to the transfer of bodyweight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, load transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This results in greater bodywork flex and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The front upper strut brace helps connect the suspension mounting points and reduce unwanted bodywork movement.
- Design: front upper strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Hyundai Elantra III (XD).
