The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing strut brace is designed to reduce these loads by additionally connecting the upper mounting points of the front suspension.
