The vehicle chassis is one of the parts subjected to the greatest stresses due to the driver’s driving style. This is especially true when transferring the body’s mass during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace helps increase the stiffness of the front part of the body and limit its twisting. The product is intended for Hyundai Santa Fe IV (TM) vehicles with a 2.2D or 2.4D engine, 2WD and versions without a spare wheel.
