The vehicle body is exposed to heavy loads during fast driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body flex during cornering can also cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps further connect the upper strut mounts and limit this deformation.
