The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in increased chassis loads and twisting and deformation of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This front upper strut brace helps connect the upper mounting points of the front dampers and provides additional chassis reinforcement.
