The vehicle body is subjected to significant loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater deformation and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Twisting and deformation of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
