The car body is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly affected by the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes greater body flex and deformation, which can consequently result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and deformation when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace additionally connects the upper mounting points and helps increase the stiffness of the front part of the body.
