The vehicle chassis is heavily loaded during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes the chassis to bend, deform and twist, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace helps connect the upper mounts of the front dampers, thereby increasing the stiffness of this part of the body.
