A car’s body is subjected to significant loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
During fast cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This results in the body flexing and twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body flex and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps increase the rigidity of the front section of the body.
