The car body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace connects the mounting points at the top of the front dampers and helps increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
- Product: front upper strut brace (strut bar)
