The vehicle body is subjected to heavy loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in body twisting and chassis flex, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps connect the upper mounting points of the front suspension and increase the rigidity of this part of the body.
