The vehicle body is subjected to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to 3 times greater than the load on the other side. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Body twist when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps increase the rigidity of the front section of the body.
