The vehicle body is subjected to high loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and hard acceleration. These loads are mainly caused by the transfer of the vehicle body’s weight while driving.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the body to bend and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis bending and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This front upper strut brace helps further connect the upper mounting points of the front struts and reduce unwanted body movement.
