The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads due to driving conditions. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to experience up to 3 times more load than the other. This causes significant chassis flex or deformation and torsional loads on the body, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing strut brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps reduce body flex.
