The vehicle chassis is one of the components subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in increased flexing, twisting and deformation of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This front upper strut brace is designed to provide an additional connection between the upper suspension mounting points and helps reduce unwanted bodywork movement.
