The vehicle body is subjected to high loads during dynamic driving, mainly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more heavily than the other. This causes the body to twist and flex, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flexing and twisting while cornering can negatively affect the vehicle’s handling and cause understeer or oversteer.
The strut brace is designed to connect the upper mounting points of the front dampers and has 2 mounting points.
