The vehicle’s suspension or bodywork is the most heavily loaded part during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, one side of the vehicle can experience up to three times more load than the other. This causes the bodywork to twist and bend, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Bodywork deformation and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps to further connect the mounting points of the front dampers, thereby limiting unwanted body movement.
