The vehicle bodywork is among the parts subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of the bodywork’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in greater flexing, deformation and twisting of the bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps connect the mounting points of the upper strut mounts and further stiffen the front section of the bodywork.
- Product: front upper strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Mazda 5 I (CR).
