During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the vehicle body is subjected to high loads due to the transfer of vehicle mass.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes the body to twist and flex, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Body deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps to further connect the mounting points of the upper strut mounts and increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
