The car body is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. During fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration, the transfer of body weight has a significant effect on these loads.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can lead to the body twisting and bending, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis bending and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps increase the rigidity of the front part of the body.
