The vehicle body is subjected to significant loads during high-speed driving, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the vehicle’s weight.
When driving through corners, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause the body to twist and deform, resulting in reduced tyre grip.
Body flexing in corners can affect the vehicle’s handling and cause undesirable characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps to reduce these loads and increase the stiffness of the front part of the body.
Compatibility is limited to the E200K 2.0K and E240 2.6 engines.
