The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant chassis flex, deformation and body torsion, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis flex and torsion during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The brace is designed to provide an additional connection between the upper mounting points of the front dampers. It has 2 mounting points.
Suitable for: MINI Mini Coupe I (R58).
