The car body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in greater deformation and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This brace helps further connect the upper mounting points of the front dampers and increase the stiffness of this part of the body.
