The car body is subjected to significant loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the body’s weight.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can increase to as much as three times the load on the other side. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex while driving through corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace increases the rigidity of the front section of the body and helps limit such deformation.
