The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in increased torsional loads, bending and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and further reinforces this part of the body.
- Design: front upper strut brace (strut bar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Nissan Murano II (Z51).
