The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

In some cases, weight transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
