A car’s body is exposed to significant loads while driving, mainly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
During fast cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes the body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Body flex during cornering can negatively affect vehicle handling and cause understeer and oversteer. The brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps limit these unwanted movements.
- Design: front upper strut brace (strutbar)
- Number of mounting points: 2
Suitable for: Subaru Forester II (SG).
