The bodywork or chassis is among the parts of a car subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. When cornering quickly, braking hard or accelerating, the transfer of body mass affects the chassis.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause the chassis to twist and deform, resulting in the tyres losing some of their grip.
