The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This stress is caused primarily by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more load than the other. This results in increased bending and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Bending and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps reduce undesirable body movement. The product has 2 mounting points and is intended for Subaru Legacy BM/BM5/BM9 and Subaru Outback BR9.
