The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest stresses while driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to forces up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant deformation and twisting of the chassis or body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace is designed to connect the upper mounting points of the front dampers and reduce unwanted body twisting.
