The car body is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of mass during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the body, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing strut brace is designed to reduce these effects.
