The car body is one of the most heavily loaded parts of the vehicle, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through a corner, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater bending and twisting of the chassis or car body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Bending and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps connect the mounting points at the top of the front dampers and further reinforces this section of the car body.
