A vehicle’s body is subjected to significant loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration. The front upper strut brace connects the upper strut mounting points and helps reduce body flex.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater deformation and body flex, while the tyres can lose grip.
Body flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing strut brace is designed to reduce these effects and improve vehicle responsiveness.
