The vehicle body is the most heavily loaded part during driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes greater body twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps further connect the strut mounting points and limit unwanted body movement.
