The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater loads on the chassis, as well as twisting and deformation of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace is designed to reduce these effects.
