The vehicle body is subjected to high loads while driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause considerable twisting and bending of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Body flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace connects the mounting points in the upper section of the front suspension and helps reduce unwanted body movement.
