During high-speed driving, heavy braking and acceleration, the vehicle body is subjected to significant loads caused by weight transfer.
When cornering quickly, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in greater chassis flex or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace helps increase the stiffness of the front section of the body.
