The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly noticeable when the vehicle’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is significant loads, body flex and chassis twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Body flex and chassis twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace connects the upper strut mounting points and helps reduce unwanted body movement.
