The vehicle body is one of the parts subjected to the greatest loads during sporty driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater loads on the body, as well as twisting and bending, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Twisting and deformation of the body when driving through a bend can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps reduce body flexing in this area.
