Ultra Racing front upper strut brace for Volkswagen Scirocco III

The car body is one of the most heavily loaded parts of the vehicle due to the driver’s driving style. This is particularly evident when the body’s mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.

When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This results in greater twisting and bending of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.

Twisting and deformation of the chassis when cornering can result in poorer handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.

The strut brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps reduce body twisting.
