The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of mass can cause one side of the vehicle to experience up to three times more load than the other. This causes significant chassis or body flex and deformation, resulting in loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front upper strut brace further connects the mounting points in the upper section of the front suspension and helps limit unwanted body flex.
