The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. These loads are caused mainly by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or intense acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can cause the body to twist and flex, resulting in reduced tyre grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can affect handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The front upper strut brace connects the upper mounting points of the front dampers and helps reduce unwanted body movement.
