Ultra Racing front upper strut brace for VW Golf IV (1J)

During fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration, the vehicle body is subjected to high loads due to the transfer of the vehicle’s weight.

When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in body flexing and twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.

Body flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front upper strut brace connects the upper mounting points and helps increase the stiffness of the front section of the body.
