The vehicle chassis is exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the chassis or body shell to twist and bend, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This interior body brace is designed to increase body rigidity in the mounting area.
