The vehicle’s bodywork or chassis is exposed to heavy loads during fast driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes pronounced twisting and deformation of the bodywork, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting while cornering can also cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The interior chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of the structure and limit these deformations.
